We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing.

We will keep your data for up to 6 years after the order has been completed. We keep it this long because UK tax law requires a business to keep its records - which include the sales records containing your name and delivery address - for six years.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner, and we will do so for anything we are not required to keep.

An email address left for a back-in-stock reminder is kept only until that reminder has been sent, and at most 360 days - see Back-in-stock reminders below.

In practice that is a small number of providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, and only on our instructions:

• Stripe - Payment processing. The checkout form on our site is Stripe's, shown inside our page. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us or this website.
• Vercel - Website hosting, database and cookie-free analytics.

Where necessary, we will transfer personal information outside of the UK. When doing so, we comply with the UK GDPR, making sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies, and none of them are set until you do something that needs them: one remembers which currency to show you, written only once you’ve picked one, and one keeps the site owner signed in to the private admin area. Your basket is kept in your own browser’s local storage, not sent to us as a cookie - and once you’ve ticked the pre-order and Terms box in your cart, a note that you did is kept the same way for the rest of that browser tab, so the checkout page knows you have.

The checkout page loads Stripe’s payment form, and Stripe sets two cookies of its own there to help it spot fraudulent payments. They’re strictly necessary for taking your payment, they’re set only on that page, and Stripe explains them in its own privacy policy. As you type your delivery address, Stripe’s form offers matching addresses from Google’s address service, so what you type in that one field reaches Google for that purpose; you can ignore the suggestions and enter the address by hand.

The videos on our build guides don’t load until you press play. Until you do, nothing is requested from YouTube and nothing about your visit reaches Google.

For analytics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free - it doesn’t store an identifier in your browser or track you across sites. That’s why you won’t see a cookie banner here: on a first visit we store nothing on your device at all, so there’s nothing to ask your permission for.

When a kit is out of stock, its page lets you leave an email address to be told when it’s back. If you do, we hold:

We use it for one thing: to send you one email when that kit is back in stock. A restock can take up to 180 days. It doesn’t add you to a mailing list - there isn’t one - and we won’t email you about anything else.

Lawful basis: consent - you asked us to. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing support@wristbuilt.com and we’ll delete the address straight away.

How long we keep it: until we’ve sent the reminder, after which the address is deleted. If the kit hasn’t come back within 360 days, the address is deleted anyway.

The address is stored in our website database, hosted by Vercel (see Who we share information with). The reminder itself is sent from our own email account, not through a mailing service.

We don’t run a marketing mailing list, and we don’t send marketing emails. The only emails we’d send you are about an order you’ve actually placed - a receipt, or letting you know it has shipped - or a back-in-stock reminder you asked for (see above).

If you signed up to our newsletter before we removed it and you’d like the address we hold deleted, email support@wristbuilt.com and we’ll remove it.
